Polly Parrot is a recurring sidekick character in "Peppa Pig". She is depicted as a parrot character. She is Granny Pig and Grandpa Pig’s pet bird.

Bio[]

Polly Parrot is Granny and Grandpa Pig's pet parrot. She imitates everything she hears from everybody.

Personality[]

Being a parrot, Polly finds amusement and interest in copying other people since she does not understand that we should copy people.

Trivia[]

  • In terms of design and general character, Polly is heavily based on the parrot from Jolly Roger, a short film by the same creators of Peppa Pig in 1999.
    • Additionally, Grandpa Pig's design is taken from Captain Roger, who ends up becoming the owner of the parrot by the end of the short film.
  • She is the first pet to appear in the series.
    • She was also the first pet bird to appear in the series.
  • She can get things in high places as seen in "George's Balloon".
  • She doesn't have visible wings; yet she has them in some episodes like; "George's Balloon".
  • She can talk, but copies everything what other characters say.
  • In later episodes, her voice is slightly deeper and not loud.
  • She is voiced by Alison Snowden, the mother of Lily Snowden-Fine, the first actress to voice Peppa Pig.
  • In the episode A Day with Doctor Hamster, Polly copies the narrator.
