Narrator: Today, Peppa and George are going to the botanical gardens.
Narrator: Miss Rabbit is head gardener.
Miss Rabbit: Welcome to the botanical gardens, where we grow plants from all around the world.
Peppa's Family: Ooh.
Miss Rabbit: Our first garden is a wildflower meadow.
Daddy Pig: It will look nice when you've tidied it up a bit.
Miss Rabbit: This is what wildflower meadows are meant to look like, Daddy Pig.
Daddy Pig: Ahh.
Miss Rabbit: It takes a lot of effort to make it look this messy.
Peppa Pig: The butterflies and bees like it.
Miss Rabbit: That's right, wildflower meadows are very good for butterflies and bees.
(Peppa and George then laugh for a bit after a butterfly landed a George's nose)
Miss Rabbit: Would you like to see the other gardens?
Peppa's Family: Yes, please.
Miss Rabbit: This is the hot house.
Peppa Pig: It's very hot in here.
Miss Rabbit: Yes, Peppa, it is where we grow plants that come from very hot places.
Miss Rabbit: We have cacti...
Peppa's Family: Oooh.
Miss Rabbit: Palm trees...
Peppa's Family: Ahh.
Miss Rabbit: And this is a Venus Flytrap.
Peppa Pig: Why is it called a flytrap?
Miss Rabbit: Because it traps flies, watch.
(The fly flies right into the flytrap and the flytrap catches the fly)
Narrator: The Venus Flytrap has caught a fly.
Peppa Pig: George, let's play Venus Flytraps.
George Pig: *Oink Oink*
Peppa Pig: I will be the flytrap, and you can be the fly.
George Pig: Buzz, buzz, buzz.
(Peppa Pig then catches George)
Peppa Pig: Caught you George. *Laughs*
Peppa Pig: Now, I'll be the fly and you be the flytrap.
(But then George starts to chase Peppa even though he is the flytrap)
Peppa Pig: George, Venus Flytraps do not run!
(Which causes George to cry)
Narrator: Oh, dear, George is a very sad Venus Flytrap.
Peppa Pig: Sorry, George.
Peppa Pig: Let's both be flies.
(So both Peppa and George pretend to be flies)
Daddy Pig: *Ho ho* Calm down, little flies, it's too hot to buzz about in here.
Miss Rabbit: Don't worry, the next room is much cooler.
Miss Rabbit: This is our cold house.
Peppa's Family: Brr!
Peppa Pig: Is it the north pole garden?
Miss Rabbit: Sort of, the proper name is Arctic Tundra garden.
Peppa Pig: Ooh, ice cream.
Peppa Pig: Does ice cream grow at the North Pole, Miss Rabbit?
Miss Rabbit: No, our fridge is broken, so we're keeping them here to stop them melting.
Miss Rabbit: Would you like one?
Peppa Pig: Yes, please.
(Miss Rabbit gives two ice cream cones to Peppa and George)
Peppa Pig: Thank you.
Narrator: Peppa and George love ice cream, even in the cold.
Miss Rabbit: Follow me.
Miss Rabbit: This is the rainforest garden.
Peppa's Family: Wow!
Peppa Pig: Miss Rabbit, why is it called a rainforest?
Miss Rabbit: We call it the rainforest because it's a forest...and it rains a lot.
(It then starts to rain in the rainforest)
Miss Rabbit: I make it rain every hour, on the hour.
Peppa Pig: It's nice.
Narrator: The rain in the rainforest is lovely and warm.
Daddy Pig: A room where it rains when you want. *Oink*
Daddy Pig: We need something like this at home.
Mummy Pig: We've got one, Daddy Pig, it's called a shower.
Daddy Pig: Oh, yes.
Miss Rabbit: And through here is Mr. Rabbit.
Narrator: Mr. Rabbit is in the experiment room.
Mr. Rabbit: Hello, everyone.
Mr. Rabbit: My job is to make new plants.
Peppa Pig: How?
Mr. Rabbit: Well, butterflies and bees do it by taking pollen from one flower to another.
Miss Rabbit: The flowers then make seeds that grow into new plants.
(Peppa then smells a purple flower)
Peppa Pig: Mmm, this flower smells lovely.
(and Mummy Pig smells a pink flower)
Mummy Pig: Oh, this pretty flower doesn't smell of anything.
Mr. Rabbit: When I put the pollen from one to the other, the seeds made a new flower that smells lovely and looks pretty.
(Mummy Pig then smells the purple and pink flower)
Mummy Pig: Mmm, that does smell lovely.
Miss Rabbit: You can do it with vegetables as well.
Mr. Rabbit: I put this small tasty carrot, together with this big, not-very-tasty carrot.
Daddy Pig: And made a big, tasty carrot.
Mr. Rabbit: Err, no actually, I made a small, not-very-tasty carrot.
Peppa's Family: Ohh.
Miss Rabbit: Would you like to see the children's garden now?
Peppa Pig: Yes, please.
Miss Rabbit: It has a very special water feature.
Daddy Pig: A fountain?
Miss Rabbit: No.
Mummy Pig: A waterfall?
Miss Rabbit: No, a great big muddy puddle!
Peppa and George: Wow!
Peppa Pig: Come on, George. *Oink*
Peppa and George: Weeeeeee!
(Peppa and George hop into the puddle and jump up and down in it with there friends)
Narrator: Peppa loves all the botanical gardens, especially the muddy one.
