(Peppa reads the title card.)
Narrator: Today, Peppa and Rebecca are making carrot cupcakes.
Peppa: Mmm, they look yummy!
Mummy Rabbit: They’ll be even more yummy when we put crème and sprinkles on top!
Peppa and Rebecca: (laughing)
(oven pings)
Mummy Rabbit: Right! Time to take the cupcakes out of the oven.
Peppa and Rebecca: Yippee!
(Rosie and Robbie are seen in cribs.)
Rosie and Robbie: (crying)
Mummy Rabbit: Oh, Rosie and Robbie are hungry!
Narrator: Babies cry when they are hungry.
Mummy Rabbit: I need to feed them.
Rebecca: But what about the cupcakes?
Mummy Rabbit: You’ll have to wait until I come back. Come on, you two!
Peppa: Um... does feeding babies take a long time?
Rebecca: Yes. It takes forever!
Narrator: Rebecca does not like waiting.
(Mummy Rabbit, Rosie Rabbit, and Robbie Rabbit appear in Rebecca’s bedroom.)
Rosie and Robbie: (crying once more)
Mummy Rabbit: (puts milk bottles in their mouths) Aw, there you are!
Rebecca: Every time they cry, mummy and daddy go to them!
Peppa: (gasps) If we cry like babies, then maybe our mummy will go to us!
Rebecca: Okay!
Peppa and Rebecca: (running to the table, laughing)
Rebecca: This is how Rosie and Robbie cry. WAAA! WAAA!
Peppa: (laughing) My little brother, George, cries like this! (Peppa is seen flapping her arms with her eyes closed.) WAAAA! WAAAA! WAAAA!
Peppa and Rebecca: (Rebecca is also seen flapping her arms with her eyes closed, with Peppa) WAAAA! WAAAA! WAAAA! WAAAA! WAAAA! WAAAA!
(Mummy Rabbit, Rosie Rabbit, and Robbie Rabbit appear in Rebecca’s bedroom.)
Rosie and Robbie: (burps)
Mummy Rabbit: There, there. You have a nice little nap now, my darlings!
Narrator: Mummy Rabbit likes it when the babies stop crying.
(Peppa and Rebecca’s “WAA!”ing echoes)
Mummy Rabbit: (gasps) More crying? That’s odd!
(The background changes to Mummy Rabbit in the hallway, walking to the kitchen.)
Peppa and Rebecca: (Rebecca is also seen flapping her arms with her eyes closed, with Peppa) WAAAA! WAAAA!
(The “WAA!”ing stops.)
Mummy Rabbit: What’s all this noise? I’ve only just sent the twins to sleep! You’ll wake them up again!
Rebecca: We’re crying babies, mummy!
Peppa: (whispers) Rebecca! Babies can’t talk!
Rebecca: Oh, yes!
(Peppa and Rebecca’s “WAA!”ing continues)
Mummy Rabbit: Oh, I see! You poor babies must be very hungry! I’ll get you some milk.
(Peppa and Rebecca’s “WAA!”ing stop again, and they laugh)
Narrator: Peppa and Rebecca like pretending to be babies.
Mummy Rabbit: You must be sleepy now!
Rebecca: Not really.
Mummy Rabbit: Babies are always sleepy after they’ve had their milk!
Rebecca: But we’re not babies anymore, mummy!
Mummy Rabbit: Oh, you grow up so fast!
(Peppa and Rebecca laugh)
Mummy Rabbit: Shall we do the cupcakes then?
Peppa and Rebecca: Yes, please!
Mummy Rabbit: (putting the cupcakes out of the oven) So, what’s it going to be? Crème? Sprinkles? Carrots?
Rebecca: I’m putting crème on this one!
Peppa: I’m putting crème on this one, and another cupcake! (snorts)
Mummy Rabbit: That’s nice, but maybe a little bit difficult to eat.
(Peppa and Rebecca laugh)
Mummy Rabbit: It’s a good thing you girls were here to make these cupcakes!
Rebecca: Rosie and Robbie didn’t help you!
Mummy Rabbit: I know! But they are only babies!, not big children like you two!
Narrator: Mr. Rabbit has joined Peppa, Rebecca, and Mummy rabbit for tea and cupcakes.
Daddy Rabbit: Wow! That’s the tallest cupcake I’ve ever seen! (He tries to put it in his mouth, but it is too big for it.) Hmmm... (He turns the cupcake.) Aha!
(Daddy rabbit bites the cupcake)
Daddy Rabbit: Marvelous!
Rebecca Rabbit: (laughs)
(They all stack a cupcake onto another cupcake and bite into them)
Peppa: Mmm! Yummy!
Rebecca: Should we save some cupcakes for Rosie and Robbie?
Mummy Rabbit: Uh, no. Babies can’t eat cake.
Daddy Rabbit: Babies can only eat mushy things that aren’t very tasty at all.
Mummy Rabbit: While you big girls can eat there cupcakes!
(The walkie-talkie makes crying noises.)
Daddy Rabbit: Oh, the babies have woken up. You stay here, Mummy Rabbit. It’s my turn to see the two of them.
Rebecca: Can me and Peppa come and help?
Daddy Rabbit: Of course!
(Daddy Rabbit carries Rosie and Robbie and does the two-step.)
Narrator: Mister Rabbit is trying to get the babies to stop crying.
Daddy Rabbit: Oh dear. This usually works!
Peppa: When my little brother, George, can’t sleep, my daddy reads him a story!
Daddy Rabbit: I’m afraid the babies are too little to understand stories, Peppa.
Rebecca: We can tell them stories in baby-talk! Like this! GOO GOO GA GA!
(Rosie gets Rebecca’s attention.)
Peppa: (laughs) Googoo gaga gaga googoo!
(Robbie gets Peppa’s attention.)
Peppa and Rebecca: Googoo gaga!
(Peppa, Rebecca, Rosie, and Robbie laugh.)
Daddy Rabbit: Oh! It’s working!
Mummy Rabbit: I say! You big girls are very good at making the babies laugh!
Peppa and Rebecca: Googoo gaga!
(Peppa, Rebecca, Mummy Rabbit, Daddy Rabbit, Rosie, and Robbie laugh.)
Narrator: Peppa and Rebecca liked being babies, but they like being big girls even more!
