April Fool's Day is the 41st episode of Peppa Pig Tales.
Synopsis[]
After Peppa learns about April Fool's Day from Mummy Pig, she helps Mummy Pig play jokes on her whole family. First they switch Daddy Pig's eyeglasses for joke glasses, then they give him a bag of crisps with toy snakes inside. Then the Peppa and Daddy Pig team up to play a joke on Mummy Pig. Finally, Mummy Pig and George play another joke on Peppa.
Plot[]
Peppa enters the kitchen holding a box of cereal. As she tries to prepare her breakfast, some marbles, a magic wand, a toy car, Teddy, a shoe, and some feathers come out of the cereal box when Peppa tries to pour the cereal into the bowl. Peppa asks what happened to the cereal, and later, a book comes out of the cereal box. Mummy Pig laughs and tells Peppa that it is April Fool's Day. She explains to Peppa that on April Fool's Day, people make each other laugh by playing silly jokes. Peppa says she likes jokes, and asks Mummy Pig if she can play a joke on Daddy, and Mummy Pig agrees.
In the living room, Daddy Pig is reading a newspaper, but he doesn't have his glasses on. When Peppa and Mummy Pig sneak into the room, Daddy Pig asks Mummy Pig to pass his glasses to him, however, Mummy Pig gets some blue joke glasses with springy pop-out eyes instead of his real, black glasses. As Daddy Pig puts on the joke glasses, the eyes pop out. Daddy Pig believes the blue glasses have made it harder to see, and Peppa and Mummy Pig wish Daddy Pig an April Fool's Day, and Daddy Pig realizes the blue glasses he put on were actually joke glasses. As Daddy Pig puts on his real, black glasses, he is sure Peppa and Mummy Pig won't play another joke on him, as he is much too clever for more jokes. However, Peppa takes out a tube of crisps, and asks Daddy Pig to open the tube for her. However, as Daddy Pig tries to open the tube of crisps, three snakes, two blue and one purple, fly out of the tube. Daddy Pig laughs and tells Peppa and Mummy Pig that the tube of snakes game him a fright. Peppa and Mummy Pig laugh and once again wish him an April Fool's Day. Then, Daddy Pig and Peppa decide to play a joke on Mummy Pig.
As Peppa and her family finished their dinner, they are now ready for desert. Daddy Pig takes out a sponge with chocolate icing and a strawberry on top to trick Mummy Pig. Daddy Pig tells Mummy Pig that he and Peppa have made a tasty chocolate cake for desert. However, when Mummy Pig takes out a fork and tries to get it into the sponge disguised as a chocolate cake to eat it, the fork won't go through the sponge. Peppa and Daddy Pig laugh as their joke is working, and Mummy Pig realizes that her fork doesn't seem to be working. Daddy Pig tells Mummy Pig to try picking it up with her hands, but as Mummy Pig tries to pick up a piece of the sponge in its chocolate cake disguise, she realizes that it wasn't a cake, but rather a sponge with icing and a strawberry on it. Peppa and Daddy Pig wish Mummy Pig an April Fool's day. She then tells Peppa that George brought a tube of biscuits for her. George gives Peppa the tube, but when Peppa tries to open it, the same snakes from the tube of crisps fly out of the tube of biscuits. Peppa then realizes that Mummy Pig and George played the exact same joke Peppa and Mummy Pig played on Daddy Pig earlier. Everyone wishes Peppa an April Fool's Day, and they all fall down to the ground laughing, including Peppa.
